I make inks dance on the surface of water.

I then capture them on a sheet of paper so that they become vibrant and quirky wall art prints.

Paola De Giovanni is a marbling artist, photographer and textile designer, graduate of the London College of Fashion, MA-Fashion Studies.

Under the label Kaleido Marbling Art she creates limited editions of marbling ink prints, mixed media artwork, fine art photo prints, both monochrome and colour of architectural details, flower photography with a twist.

During the global epidemic, Paola discovered the ancient ink technique called marbling and put together an impressive body of prints thanks to this medium that is similar to a form of active meditation: soothing, liberating and empowering.

Paola describes marbling as "painting on water", a mesmerising art technique that has endless potential to create unique and stunning art.

Her marbling prints are often digitally put into repeats to create seamless and symmetrical patterns to suggest balance, reciprocity and elegance. Her marbling art is available as matt prints, (various formats), each artwork is printed on matt Hahnemuhle paper, and archival inks to guarantee colour fastness.

Talking about her creative practice Paola has this to say:”I believe in the importance of sharing one's creative journey, we often shy away from the opportunity to inspire others, unlock potentials, creativity and to me this is a shame, I always marvel at what other people see in my art and how they creatively reply to my work, it is very rewarding to see such reactions in other people, it validates my art and confirms that I don't work in vain, as an act of self indulgence.”

“Be creative is the best way to be connected with people, articulate my feelings, be grounded, focused and sane in this often complicated journey we call "life". I am also chronically inquisitive, I ask too many questions and when I discover a new art technique or idea, I set in motion a "domino" effect in the sense that one initial idea takes me to the next, and the next,...…

I like to portray whatever is ethereal, dreamy, and the often overlooked beauty of simple things. My motto is "Beauty and inspirations are everywhere" and my middle name is creative rebel”.
